Name That Tune 3.4

Welcome to the fourth round of Name That Tune in this series. Although we seem to have lost quite a few players after the switch to this website, I am optimistic that we may get them back in time. The players that have registered here though, are well into the game as we see by the comments to last weeks Name That Tune.

The tunes last week were:

Rodger Daltrey – Giving It All Away
Eric Carmen – All By Myself

WTG to the following players who identified at least one of the songs: Dan (both songs), Renfield (Carmen), Trish and Todd (both, but identified the first song as being from the Who… If I were to be strict, I would deduct half a point there :) , Mike (mscho) got both, as did Mike (daddyo), Elvisaaron, as Who lover, got both, as did Andy and Alan Novich. Debi knew the name of the second song, but couldn’t remember the artist.

No points for the answer but Mike (mscho) and Alan knew (or researched) that the piano contraption used by sailor was know as a Nickelodeon. Well done you two!

So now the table looks like this:

12 points: Alan Novich, Trish & Todd (well….)
10 points: Andy, Elvisaaron, Dan
6 points: Mike (mscho), Mike (daddyo)
4 points: Ellie, Lynda, Duncanw
2 points: Renfield
1 point: Debi

This weeks tunes:

On this LP is one of my favorite drummers … again no points for the answer, but, does anyone know who is playing drums on this song… and in which band was he most successful?

Name The Original (remember ?) Name, as well as the artist in this clip, the original artist, and the song name too of course….

Lotta work this week. First , Shadow play, rory gallagher, ted mckenna on drums, and i am not sure what you are looking for. while I might say the sensational alex harvey band, knowing you I would answer the michael schenker band (who was the vocalist then…..the great graham bonnet???? I don’t now…) The other tune has been covered by the world. Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right, as Mr Zimmerman aka Dylan called it. This one was only called don’t think twice, stone the crows (maggie may bell on lead vocals ????) and who doesn’t remember the guess who, the jersey boys themselves in disguise, with mr valli singing don’t think twice. My favorite version of the song was the one done by peter paul and mary.

    Alan Novich
